Christina Parrish graduated from the University of Florida College of Law (with high honors) where she was an editor of the Law Review.
She was admitted to the Florida Bar and inducted into the Order of the Coif in 1997. Ms. Parrish' practice has been focused in the areas
of government finance, real estate, land use and development, historic preservation and general corporate law. She began her career with
Foley and Lardner, an international law firm, and has since served as General Counsel of Montgomery Land Company and Senior Counsel
at Rayonier. She is now working as a sole practitioner with offices in Springfield.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Parrish served as Vice President of Corporate Credit at First Union National Bank of Florida where
she was a commercial real estate lender specializing in workouts and management and disposition of bank-owned properties. During
law school, Ms. Parrish owned and operated a vintage guitar shop and music school in Riverside's Five Points commercial district and
worked as a real estate agent.
Ms. Parrish was recently appointed by Mayor Alvin Brown to serve on the City of Jacksonville's Art in Public Places Commission. She was a member of the 2015 class of Leadership Jacksonville and served two terms as chair of the City's Urban Core Citizens Planning Advisory Committee. She holds a part time position as Executive Director of Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council; is Vice President of the Jacksonville Historical Society; and was chair of the steering committee for Jacksonville's National Park Service Groundwork Trust. Ms. Parrish is a former board member of the North Florida Land Trust, San Marco Preservation Society and the Springfield Mommies Group, and is a member of the Jacksonville Historic Consortium and the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation.
Ms. Parrish has four children who range in age from 11 to 27.
